Focalocal is an electronic concierge system. By using Focalocal, hotels, restaurants, bars and other hospitality companies can enhance the guest experience by providing them with accurate, up-to-date driving and/or walking directions to local destinations. It's like having your own concierge on call 24/7.

Features

Focalocal is sophisticated computer software application. The user application can run on both tabletop and stand-alone kiosk terminals while the system administration is done over the internet. The system provides different interfaces for the administrator and the advertiser.

Focalocal is simple for everyone. The system features an intuitive, attractive user interface that is 100% touch screen compatible. Graphic icons and large buttons make Focalocal extremely easy to navigate.

Implementation

Focalocal is a large project and Microsoft .NET was chosen as a platform of implementation. The system is powered by Microsoft SQL Server 2008. The Kiosk front-end uses advanced Javascript for 100% AJAX operations. The system is using an advanced integration with Google Maps and Yelp.
